Play 90 second soundbite of 'Sleepless' @ 'CD quality'
featuring what HC sees as some of the greatest sounds around at the moment plus a few of his own works, this is a tremendous album aimed whole-heartedly at the d&b dance scene.
Certainly, if drum and bass is your thing then you need look no further - High Contrast's 'Watch The Ride' has it all - it's an epic compilation of twenty-five tracks to blow away the cobwebs of Christmas and get you back into the groove - and what a groove!! This is drum and bass heaven - pacey, punchy, non-stop grooves that'll knock yer sox off.
Hey, this is all you need 'guys' - invite some friends over, slip this little gem into the player, press 'play' followed by 'repeat all' and just let it all out for the whole duration. High Contrast's 'Watch The Ride' is a totally awesome blast of exactly what you need. Oh, and don't forget to invite, or at least warn, the neighbours!!
Now I know that d&b is a bit of a speciality genre but believe me this is good - I'm not really a fan myself but even I found myself tappin' away to this little bugger. Drum and bass with its unnerving pace and often unpredictable rhythms may be a 'bridge too far' for some ears but, 'Watch The Ride' from the hearts and souls of High Contrast's influential friends and colleagues really is something special within its genre - a total mind-f**k of an album that just doesn't allow you to sit still for one second - a breathtaking compilation from High Contrast.
