Play 90 second soundbite of 'She Left To The Sound Of The sea' @ 'CD quality'
Just as the sea rolls in and out on continuously undulating waves so does this nifty little work-out. This is an atmospheric yet melodic, well constructed piece of work; it's quite short but in its concise way it covers a lot of ground.
Avant-garde, experimental but very listenable it's impressive and naively catchy. This has more hooks in its bag than the oldest of sea anglers as it glides effortlessly through a plethora of contemporary sounds and styles that have been sensitively and maturely locked together to defy logic.
'She Left To The Sound Of The sea' is my first encounter with this gritty experimental outfit - I hope it's not my last as I've had my appetite suitable whetted and would like to hear more of their excellent work and their clever musical juxtaposition and evocative vibes.
