Play 90 second soundbite of 'All The Same' @ 'CD quality'
Go Cadenza are bound to be compared with the likes of Keane, The feeling and Coldplay and indeed, there is justification for that. But, Go Cadenza are very much their own band; they pool graceful melodies and gently rhythmic meanderings to come up with sensitively constructed songs that the likes of Keane and co. would be proud to call their own! 'All The Same' and its 'B' side, 'Hot Air Balloon', could be just what the British music scene needs right now as Go Cadenza's music has a wonderful sense of reality and warmth about it and could be just what the doctor ordered as spring and summer approaches - gentle but persuasive, sleepily relaxing but evocative and creative.
Hard to actually pigeonhole, Go Cadenza's music is a bit like intelligent 'pop', tangible music for the musically mature mind, an elegant, poised, balanced and refined blend of contemporary soft rock with a 'something for the weekend, Sir?' kinda feel - sensual and full of expectation.
'All The Same' is quality through and through and that could just prove to be its downfall! Go Cadenza might prove just too classy for single 'pop' stardom but their approach is certainly worthy of wider recognition and through stunning songwriting and exceptional musicianship, Go Cadenza could just be the next 'big thing' to break into the album charts. One to watch out for - of that I'm sure!
