Play 90 second soundbite of 'Attention! Bandits' @ 'CD quality'
'They're All Wrong' is a f***ing brilliant EP, the third release on the Little Hellfire Club label, and only further strengthens the cause of this excellent young label to bring the unsuspecting public head-on into the world of boisterous 'clatterpop' and youthful vibrant music for now and the future.
Gamble Gamble make an awesome 'noise' that drills itself into yer brain and sits there like a latent time-bomb just waiting to explode and blow yer brain into a festering, shattered mess of a thing! Four stunning tracks here, '...We Might Have A Problem', 'Stones', 'Animal Songs Aren't Dead' and 'Attention! Bandits' - four songs that are actually quite different to each other but similarly brutal in their approach and resultant brain cell devastation. Think Blur collides with ... well I'm not actually too sure who they collide with ... suffice to say that they end result is nothing like Blur's 'pop' music - by comparison, Blur's music is merely embryonic, under-developed, softly-softly and blatantly soppy. What Gamble Gamble do is they take the Blur pop ethos and move it on up a few steps, raise the ante, progress the whole thing with massive riffs and stonkin' great energy. Mental, mutant, measured mayhem! Defiant, dynamic deviancy! Quite breathtaking!!
'They're All Wrong' by Gamble Gamble is 'come in yer pants' pop/rock - an intoxicating and stimulating art-noise that's as commercial as fuck yet as underground as lignite - wonderfully brash yet stunningly melodic - awesome in its entirety - gruesome yet sweet clatterpop for the new-age pop experimentalists! Just drink it all in and enjoy - oh, hang on, I've gotta go - time to change me grundies!!
