Play 90 second soundbite of 'Feels Like The First Time' @ 'CD quality'
What happened to Foreigner anyway? Well, 'No End In Sight' should give you a clue! Foreigner are still going, they never stopped! So, 'no end in sight' indeed - and why not?
'No End In Sight' is like an anthology 'plus' of Foreigner; not only all their hits from the 70's and 80's but new studio material and live recordings - it's all here in 'No End In Sight'!! Foreigner were one of the most successful of the soft rock outfits of that era, they excelled in everything they did, everything was polished, slightly Americana but always rockin' and commercial. Always polished, always on the money, Foreigner sat clean guitars side by side with progressive keyboards to create their trade-mark sound. Then things changed on the popular music front and Foreigner no longer managed to fit in - their music didn't change but, everything around it did!! But, they didn't give in, they just got on with it, stuck to their guns and somehow managed to survive in that very fluid, very fickle music world of the time.
Foreigner's 'No End In Sight' is rammed full of that timeless kinda rock music that always survives no matter what current trends dictate. And, therein lies the clue to this tasty anthology; this will re-acquaint Foreigner fans with their rock heroes, it'll be nectar from heaven to the already wise. But, 'No End In Site' probably won't win too many new fans amongst the hungry hoards. Why? Well mainly cuz Foreigner and their soft rock balladic wares aint quite pc at the mo'!! Shame really cuz Foreigner have a lot to offer and some of the budding 'stars' of tomorrow could learn loads from them with their tenacity and sheer guts for stickin' with what they do best. This sort of rock music will always be around and it'll always sell well. 'No End In Sight', as I suggested up front, is honest if not prophetic and Foreigner will pull in plenty of 'pennies' from its release. 'No End In Sight' won't change the world though!
'No End In Sight' by masters of rock, Foreigner, is a great re-awakening work, a reminder, a moment in time that still has plenty to offer the discerning rock music lover if not the insatiable nu-rocksters. 'No End In Sight' covers massive ground and shows that good rock music will always win through and survive. 'No End In Sight' tells the Foreigner story in no uncertain terms - Foreigner live on and will continue to pack 'em in - 'No End In Sight' is a fantastic reminder of what a massive force Foreigner once were and what a workmanlike and worthy outfit they continue to be!!
