Play 90 second soundbite of 'Shout To The Suburbs' @ 'CD quality'
Figment play a brand of indie rock that reminds me of classic Rolling Stones and Oasis - not in a rip-off way but just because of the similarity of vibe and energetic performance. Instrumentally and vocally Figment push all the right buttons; they're tight, punchy and precise. Lyrically, these guys come up with some fantastic stuff; mature, clever and very different. So all together, Figment are doin' just fine and they're not just another band in their ilk; Figment have an inner strength and a hungry talent for songwriting that sets them apart from many of their contemporaries. Figment deliver great kick-ass rhythms that throb from the speakers against a beautifully controlled barrage of guitars and voices. The songs are well crafted and recorded to a good standard.
Figment play with a slightly funk edge to their rock which makes their songs great for mosh pit mayhem and similar extra-curricular activities. You won't need drugs to enjoy Figment but you might need a few headache tablets after the headbangin's finished.
