Figment

Demo

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Shout To The Suburbs' @ 'CD quality'

This demo was entered into the 2006 Toxic Pete / ffg Studios Demo Competition

Bristol three-piece Figment have put together a stonkin' demo here. Five great tracks that just come stormin' out at you and bury themselves deep into yer brain; 'Shout To The Suburbs', 'Second Time Lucky', 'S.O.S.', 'Careless Talk' and 'Death Disco' etch themselves into your mind and attack the nervous system causing spontaneous and uncontrollable movement in the feet legs and neck.

Figment play a brand of indie rock that reminds me of classic Rolling Stones and Oasis - not in a rip-off way but just because of the similarity of vibe and energetic performance. Instrumentally and vocally Figment push all the right buttons; they're tight, punchy and precise. Lyrically, these guys come up with some fantastic stuff; mature, clever and very different. So all together, Figment are doin' just fine and they're not just another band in their ilk; Figment have an inner strength and a hungry talent for songwriting that sets them apart from many of their contemporaries. Figment deliver great kick-ass rhythms that throb from the speakers against a beautifully controlled barrage of guitars and voices. The songs are well crafted and recorded to a good standard.

Figment play with a slightly funk edge to their rock which makes their songs great for mosh pit mayhem and similar extra-curricular activities. You won't need drugs to enjoy Figment but you might need a few headache tablets after the headbangin's finished.
