Play 90 second soundbite of 'Just Passing Thru' @ 'CD quality'

Feedback, a seemingly talented Birmingham based band. Their info tells me they are an 'Indie/Rock' unit comprising, Dan Greenaway (guitars & vocals), Jay Goodison (guitars & vocals), Matt Brookes (bass) and Chris Wright (drums).

Original material which always does it for me - let's see what we have here:-

Track 1 - 'Just Passing Thru' kicks off in true, young indie band style - at a crackin' pace. Some nice wah-wah guitar gently introduces the vocals - slight changes in tempo keep the listener interested as drums, bass and guitars drive along at speed. On first hearing I must admit to being a little disappointed but the track grows and hooks nicely. I do like it - even though I didn't think I would!

Track 2 - 'It's All I Got' is another in the same mould, fast and furious initially, good harmonies, some great bass work. It slows just a little towards the middle then the pace is picked back up with some nice guitar work. Then everything kicks off again forming a nice wall of sound to finish. Good all-round feel to it!

Track 3 - 'Castaway', almost predictably starts with ocean crashing onto shore (not too long though so I'll let them have that one!). A slower track this with repetitious guitar riff taking us along in front of some much more subtle drum work. On first hearing I liked this straight away (a bit more melodic maybe?) and still do several hearings later. Just over half way in and there's a nice instrumental break, again nice drums behind soaring guitar then slowing with a phased passage and back to vocal. Nicely worked, nicely arranged! The pace then picks up for the last minute or so finishing with - ocean on shore. All in all though an excellent track - probably my favourite here.

Track 4 - 'Stronger' starts slow and moody with a short spoken vocal intro. 'Big sound' throughout this one - lots going on, but still clear and interesting. Things slow a little towards the end with soft spoken vocal reintroduced just prior to a crashing finale with superb guitar atop of excellent, tight rhythm section. A grower this one - it's wall of sound towards the end begs to be heard again!

Good demo - excellent demo in fact. It's been well produced and well thought out. It appears to give a good insight into the band's abilities and shows great professionalism. The arrangements are great and the songs themselves interesting and varied. I now want to hear their album to see if the high standard is maintained.

I like very much what I've heard here. Feedback are certainly a band worth seeking out and going to see I think!!
