Play 90 second soundbite of 'Bring It On' @ 'CD quality'
It's a hard old road that Esther's goin' down - the solo female artist route is never gonna be an easy ride but, from her press pack, it seems that Esther is already getting in amongst some influential names and working pretty damn hard. Quite right too - this 'gal' has something bloody special!
Superbly constructed and stunningly performed, 'The Place Where We Are' has just about everything you could ever wish to partake of. Esther is clearly a bright and expansive talent that will do extremely well for herself. This album is mature and classy and sits squarely astride several musical genre such that there's something for everyone. As chilled as it is edgy, as subtle as it is ballsy, 'The Place Where We Are' just ticks so many boxes and teases so many emotions as it effortlessly unfolds. Once picked up, it's hard to put down again - my advice would be to simply put it on 'repeat', sit back, listen, let the music waft through the ether and just let Esther get deep inside of you. You'll be better for it!
'The Place Where We Are' is a magnificent work of contemporary music. Faultless in every way, 'The Place Where We Are' should see Esther O'Connor firmly on her way to wider recognition and acceptance. Superb!!
