Play 90 second soundbite of 'Ready Set Go!' @ 'CD quality'
I'm not sure what Dapunksportif actually means but somehow the name sums up their sound. If this is typical of the band then I'm sure that the album is going to be something pretty special. Rock/powerpop at its best, Dapunksportif chuck in some great work here - the whole track keeps you on your toes in no uncertain terms. They're not exactly quirky but they are different enough to stand out. 'Ready Set Go!' is a brilliant sampler track to whet the appetite for more to come - energetic and headbangin' rhythms ride roughshod throughout as the instruments growl and groan, churning out their individualistic riffs and fills. This is really quite decent!! And, it gets better with repeat plays; there's a lot to take in and some of it tends to come to you slowly as you start to appreciate the work that's going on.
Dapunksportif could soon be a name you'll be banding about like you've known them for years. Pretty cool!! Pretty exciting!!
