Play 90 second soundbite of 'Cherryade' @ 'CD quality'
'Cherryade' is a stormin' song that blasts right out at yer; definitely the right choice as the 'A' side, 'Cherryade' demonstrates Cut Glass Accent's penchant for a sound that's familiarly unfamiliar! Cut Glass Accent don't sound like any other band even though they do tend to make a big rockin' melee of a noise that's almost, but not quite, predictable!
Cut Glass Accent manage to stay just on the sane side of manic metal; the barrage of electric noise is pretty immense but thankfully errs more towards classic rock than the newer, more satanic sub-culture. And, even with so much going on and even though they create a massive sound, Cut Glass Accent still manage to get the vocals out in front and understandable. 'B' side 'Credibility' is more of the same insanely driven monster rock but this time just a touch less commercially viable; 'Credibility' doesn't tend to flow as well as the 'A' side and the pounding guitars are one step nearer to the metal form. It's a crackin' 'support' song and gives the listener a decent insight into what Cut Glass Accent are and what they can offer.
'Cherryade' / 'Credibility' by Cut Glass Accent is a tasty single that's possibly just too 'metallic' to become a mainstream 'hit' - however, with loads of followers of heavy, heady rock music out there, Cut Glass Accent could still do pretty well with this well delivered and powerful work.
