'The Losing Game' is rammed with high octane, punkish pop and masses of chirpy feelgood factor. With an overriding sound that's bright, beefy, beaty and bouncy, 'The Losing Game' is sure to catch the ear of anyone even half listening. Radio 'jocks' should love this one; it's the kinda song that attracts attention and sticks in the mind so that after just one or two plays they'll have the telephone lines jammed with listeners wanting to know more about Crafty Simian and 'The Losing Game'.
'The Losing Game' has a kinda 'timeless' pop feel about it; it aint retro exactly but it does utilise that 'bubblegum-pop' vocal phrasing that always seems to work so well. Combined with the obvious pop leanings you've also got some pretty mature sounding dirty riffs going down that add real rock panache to the already kick-ass sound. It's a pretty cool but quite in-yer-face sound that works very well and should appeal to a pretty wide and varied audience - it's got real zing to it and belts along quite beautifully - this has every chance of being a decent hit for Crafty Simian, no probs!
