China Dogs

EP - A Social Black Out

Play 90 second soundbite of 'A Social Blackout' @ 'CD quality'

China Dogs give it everything here. 'A Social Blackout' demonstrates all that's good about British punk-rock; China Dogs exude raucous energy and rock'n'roll attitude as they blast their way through four up-tempo, gritty and concise outings.

Yes, think Clash. Yes, think Jam. Yes, think it's been done!! Ok, so there's nothing really new about what China Dogs offer but what they give you they give you from the pits of their stomachs!! China Dogs play with so much raw power that you can almost feel the emotion rising up from their boots, frothing with bile and rancid as hell!

China Dogs give it to you good and proper and they give it to you with youthful ebullience and aggression. What they sing about isn't exactly political but there is real feeling of honesty in there; China Dogs have a few things to say and they say them through their hard-hitting music - got it!! China Dogs' way isn't new or innovative - China Dogs' way is well tried and tested - but, you can't help but admire these three guys for their tangible effort and obvious solidarity - China Dogs definitely lay down their wares with passion and belief and you just can't knock 'em for commitment. Yes it's all been done before and yes maybe it's all a bit too familiar. But, somehow China Dogs make it all sound fresh and new again!!

'A Social Blackout' by China Dogs has everything going for it; it isn't taxing, it isn't challenging - but, it is energetic and it is infectious!! Great punkish rock from three-piece China Dogs - an old formula but none-the-less gritty, solid and massively likeable.
