Play 90 second soundbite of 'The Grace Of Me' @ 'CD quality'

'The Grace Of Me' has that great rockin' quality that follows in well tried themes of many erstwhile (and current) pop-rock outfits. High octane , adrenalin fuelled rock with pop sensibility.

Breed doesn't pretend to be anyone else. Breed just calls on the tried and tested, adds a few of his own nuances and comes up with a real rockin' work that comes straight out at yer like a bolt of lightnin'. Big riffs vie with well worked choruses for your attention. The end result is damn good if a little 'old hat'. Even though Breed tries to modernise the vibe you're still taken back to the glory days of Kiss, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and the like.

There's nothing wrong with any of what Breed does and 'The Grace Of Me' is stunningly commercial, a great groover, a head-bangin' piece of catchy pop-rock and it works. My one concern is that 'The Grace Of Me' is just too close to the overall feel of 80's rock; there's not a lot to separate 'The Grace Of Me' from its earlier 'brothers in arms'.

Time however, has always been kind to this kind of hard rockin' pop and I don't really see anything stopping Breed from re-starting the time machine. Certainly 'The Grace Of Me' is handled with finesse from start to finish. It's got all the right ingredients and it definitely works. But, can Breed bring it all back? That's up to you guys to decide. For me, 'The Grace Of Me' is just too close to 'old school' for comfort; the ideas are there, the feel is there - but, I'm not sure if the audience is still there and waiting.
