Yes, that Bonnie Tyler! Now 30 years in the business and with a reputation for big songs and gravely vocals, a name known by millions and a voice recognised the world over. 'Louise' is the first single to be lifted from her new album 'Celebrate' and it finds Ms Tyler in almost silky voiced mode. Oh, the grit and gravel are still there all right but here she turns to her softer side for a strong song that I can see getting masses of air play - her reputation and pedigree assures her of that.

She gives a strong and youthful sounding performance on this infectious, melodic piece. Typically emotional packed lyrics are rendered with undeniable warmth and effortless power. With a delivery that is perfection personified Tyler tears at the heartstrings as only she can. The subtle arrangement results in a slightly lower key feel than some of her earlier works but manages to retain the slick 'attitude' that she's always been able to capture with her iconic voice. It'll be interesting to see how this will work out for Ms Tyler after all this time. Certainly this is a very air-wave friendly work that'll soon get it's hook into many, many souls.

The 'B' side here is 'Hold Out Your Heart'; a darker sounding piece that initially finds Tyler's more nasal approach giving way to the trademark grit and 'balls'. Recorded live it's slower to hit the mark and get the juices flowing but the strength and emotion of the piece makes it a bit of a grower.

Long-standing Bonnie Tyler fans are going to love this return to the spotlight. Tyler virgins may find 'Louise' lives just off their map. But I can almost guarantee that you'll be hearing quite a bit of this lady and her remarkable voice in the future. Bonnie Tyler is back and sounding as youthful and unmistakable as ever.
