'Turn To Shit' from Portuguese outfit The Blood Safari echoes the beliefs and feelings of many of us; same old, same old!! The track is a demo single release taken from their new EP, 'Zombie Slave' and lets you in to the world of this gritty sounding band.

'Turn To Shit' is a lazy sounding slowish number with most of its guts in the lyrics; instrumentally the guys slinkily emphasise the 'crap happens anyway' words with great empathy. This is one of those tracks that I can't see be massive but I can envisage it becoming a live favourite; one for the crowd to cut loose with. The approach is one that I can compare to The Kinks all those years ago. I don't mean that these guys try to emulate The Kinks but they tend to have the same poetic, worldy-wise feel - very 'British' I suppose.

'Turn To Shit' has a lot going for it; the believable lyrics, the laid back but catchy melody, a certain rawness of feel and low-key stylee. A good introduction to a band that sound and feel pretty damn good.
