Like him or not The Black Bond has to be admired for his guts, spirit, tenacity and ambition. He's fully focused on taking this country (and then the world) by storm with his individualisic rap 'songs'. Certainly, the man's got something that others don't - I'm not even sure what that something is but credit whare credit's due and all that.

If you could earn points for self-promotion then The Black Bond would earn more than most. Certainly, after he's been in the room for about half an hour most there will have had an introduction. It's difficult to know just how seriously to take this guy. Is he looking for fame in the music world or is he aiming for the comedy side of things. Whatever, he has a knack of making people smile which, in itself, isn't be a bad thing.

I've just experienced his (very short) act for the second time and although he seems to be putting words to (backing track) music the music appears to be the same each time and for each song. This is further supported by a three track work that he gave me. For me this is where he'll fail. He must come up with some new musical ideas to carry his words. But there again, is that where he's individualistc? I don't know. He seems totally switched on to what he's doing, where he's going and how he's going to get there. He seems able to turn audieces from a 'couldn't care less' attitude to a 'lets join in' kinda thing especially with his down to earth approach. Always looking dapper and wearing shades The Black Bond just takes it as it comes!! And, in his own words, 'In England, when we drop, we .....!!'

For me The Black Bond needs to come up with some alternative backing tracks to give him that 'real' edge. His words are quite clever, sometimes poignant and often funny. However, The Black Bond remains a bit of an enigma. Maybe that's also what he wants.
