Play 90 second soundbite of 'Paralyzed' @ 'CD quality'
- a remarkably up-lifting and rewarding album of the highest quality that's pretty much as good as it gets!
This is a stunningly assembled album of 'vintage' sounding soft-rock songs topped with 'classic' pop sensibility and gentle hints of nu-country; it's a beautiful amalgamation of genre, it's mature, it's professional and it's massively enjoyable. First time through, 'Autocondo' soothes as it excites and begs to be re-visited. Repeat plays only heighten the feeling of quality and togetherness that Autocondo generate and the album moves on up a few notches on the 'brilliance' scale. Ok, Autocondo may not be music for pop purists; Autocondo are above and beyond all of that - Autocondo write and play commercially viable, pop-cusp music somewhat akin to The Eagles and bands of that ilk. Perhaps not as 'country' as the aforementioned but just as 'timeless' and equally smart and enjoyable. Some of the melodies and many of the vocal harmonies and certainly the attention to detail call the great Brian Wilson to mind - hey, that's gotta be good!!
'Autocondo' is a work of mature pop, intelli-pop, music of rare distinction, superbly conceived and perfectly formed. 'Autocondo' contains twelve brilliantly composed, thoughtfully crafted and stunningly executed tracks; instrumentally robust and busy but mixed with such care that it never once sounds crowded or contrived. Top quality musicianship allows the songs to become life-sources in their own right, they breath, they have heart and they 'speak' to you as they unfold - supremely controlled and exceptionally well delivered it just doesn't get much better than this.
The living, breathing nucleus of Autocondo consists three extremely gifted singer/songwriter/guitarists/multi-instrumentalists, Tony Duggan-Smith, Neil Chapman and Russell Walker. They are joined by a number of equally well-blessed and empathetically driven musicians to result in the band Autocondo. Various other instrumental and vocal additions come from a number of Autocondo 'friends' - the end result is quite breathtaking - totally harmonious, superbly dynamic, brilliant instrumental juxtaposition, fantastic songs and unbelievably good execution!
'Autocondo' by the band of the same name is a vibrant and exciting album of finely honed songs delivered with tangible dedication to the cause. Autocondo clearly know how to deliver the goods and 'Autocondo' is an amazingly rewarding album to enjoy in almost any scenario; it can be peaceful and restful and it can be ballsy and exciting but, at the end of the day it's simply a 'bostin' (good Brummie word that!!) album of 'timeless' soft rock songs done to the 'nth' degree - absolutely stunning!!
