Apes, Pigs & Spacemen

EP - Simple Simian

Play 90 second soundbite of 'The Best Thing' @ 'CD quality'

Picking themselves up from their troubled past, seeing the light once again and re-grouping, Apes, Pigs & Spacemen are back in business and sounding stronger and more confident than ever! Miro and Bart remain from the old, tried and tested team and are joined now by Millie and Tom to once again bring the formidable songs of Paul Miro to waiting masses.

And, what songs they are (no surprises there then!), superbly crafted and well structured works - each being worthy of 'single' status. 'Simple Simian' is quality personified; four effortlessly flowing tracks done to an absolute turn and pretty damn commercial. Maybe, just maybe, the break did Apes, Pigs & Spacemen a real favour; perhaps now, the world might be more accepting and appreciative of this outfit's music. Methinks that the music market is just about ready for Apes, Pigs & Spacemen and this excellent release could just be the forerunner to something pretty bloody big. These dudes have all the right tools; stunning song writing, superb individual musicianship and a fantastic togetherness, total unity. Lets face it, after all the set-backs they suffered in their earlier incarnation they've gotta be pretty tough to come back and go through the torture all over again. I'm sure the name lived on through the 'dark days' and there'll be a massive, ready made fan base in place just waiting to lift Apes, Pigs & Spacemen to the higher ground they so justly deserve to hold.

'Simple Simian' is an awesome work and if any band deserves success then it has to be this lot. I think the future looks pretty secure if 'Simple Simian' is anything to go by! Can't wait now for more of the same!
