Play 90 second soundbite of 'Muslim Faith' @ 'CD quality'
Animotorso list their influences as being Pearl Jam, Blind Lemon, Jeff Buckley and more. It's actually quite obvious from their superb material where their roots are. That's not to say they try to emulate their idols, they don't need to. But, the seeds were deeply sown and they've grown and thrived into a very tasty and juicy sounding end product. With heavy rock riffs, jazzy undertones and awesome vocals, Animotorso lay down intricate, complex works with a superb feel. They ooze talent. They're tight, obviously well rehearsed and they build their sound with precision and finesse.
The studio works here are just brilliant. The live recordings are stunning and demonstrate just how good these young musicians are. Raw energy seeps from the speakers as they groove and rock through their contagious works, totally in control. It's hard to believe that Animotorso aren't up there with the big boys; they're obviously talented enough maybe their chosen genre isn't totally right just now. Shit, I don't care - these guys are GOOD!! No, superb!!
