Play 90 second soundbite of 'I'm In Love' @ 'CD quality'
Short but sweet, 'I'm In Love' hits the mark quickly and effectively and commercially it's got great potential. Somewhat post-Banshees in style but with a distinctly contemporary twist, 'I'm In Love' straddles several genre fences but doesn't hide the fact that it's blatant pop. And, as it sits astride those fences it will go down well with many schools of musical taste and hence will work equally well as a kick-ass dance chune in pubs and clubs or in the home, in the car, in the gym - just about anywhere I guess!.
The accompanying press pack doesn't tell me too much about this artist. Wilde obviously wants her music to speak for her and to me that music tells of an aggressively vibrant, probably complex artist that's focused and determined. She seems to know how to make an impact but somewhere (hidden from obvious view), is a musically broad minded and creative force that's yet to be totally controlled and nurtured. Wilde sounds pretty wild actually!
