Tonight, we were treated to some old favourites and had the pleasure to experience some brand new stuff. Pretty tasty it was too! Amy's songwriting just seems to get stronger by the month!! Another treat was in the form of new bass player, Jason Rogers; wow!, that certainly worked Amy. Jason's silky soft playing and harmonies fitted his role superbly - an improvement? Without doubt. Aled Richards (ex Catatonia), once again laid down the most subtle, heartfelt drumming probably ever experienced at The Marr's Bar. And then of course there was the mighty Amy Wadge herself - gaining in confidence with every gig, strengthening her already top notch act. As good as she was with the guitars, she was absolutely shit hot behind the piano (I don't think that came out right did it? Well I should be so lucky). Her passionate playing highlighted the classy songs and arrangements.
There's not really much I can add now - you just have to experience Amy Wadge to fully appreciate her tremendous talent and her great charisma. If female songstess's are your thing then take my advice and seek Amy out. But, if you're female I suggest that you leave your man at home - she'll probably be too much for him to take anyway (say no more!!).
